Improvements in the diagnosis, treatment and management of heart failure mean that primary healthcare professionals are increasingly involved in caring for people with this condition. We now have the potential to improve quality of life of people, increase life expectancy and reduce hospital admissions through the use of evidence based guidelines. This module enables health professionals to develop a sound and comprehensive knowledge base and ability to deliver holistic, evidence based care to people with heart failure, whilst also considering the needs of their carers.
