This one day course is ideal for those new to primary healthcare nursing, acts as an introduction to our diploma level course and is suitable for all staff employed in the community and practice setting.
This hypertension course will give you information on the essentials of diagnosing and managing patients with hypertension including the practical skills of accurate measurement.
Untreated hypertension is seen as the cornerstone of health and affects approximately 40% of the adult population. If undiagnosed or not treated effectively it causes disability and death from stroke, heart attack and peripheral vascular disease and will eventually lead to renal failure, heart failure and retinopathy.
