This module helps health professionals consider these issues critically and this will support the knowledge that underpins prescribing of medications.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the module, you will be able to:
- Demonstrate how respiratory drugs work including their clinical and adverse effects
- Evaluate the relative importance of the different delivery systems for respiratory medications to enable informed choices to be made
- Critically examine the concept of medicines management in relation to respiratory care
- Examine the issues of effectiveness versus efficacy of respiratory medicines
- Critically examine the ethical issues of prescribing when there are limited financial resources
