ACD of Hypertension and CKD: Short Course (Locally Delivered)

Why is ACD of Hypertension and CKD important?

  • Chronic kidney disease, also known as chronic kidney failure, is a serious condition
  • CKD is often caused by other conditions, such as diabetes and high blood pressure
  • People with hypertension are twice as likely to die from heart disease and stroke as people with normal blood pressure
  • Careful management of blood pressure will improve outcomes in CKD as well as reducing the risk of stroke and MI
