Education for Health and the Pharmaceutical Industry Professional Relations
Whilst acknowledging the benefits of commercial sponsorship and collaboration with industry, Education for Health retains its professional independence and its responsibility to safeguard the interests of patients. We are proud of our long standing reputation as an impartial professional organisation and have worked hard to secure multi-company sponsorship for the training and education of health professionals over the years.
Pharmaceutical companies may choose to provide educational bursaries for health professionals undertaking Education for Health programmes but course funds are more frequently received from health service organisations. A course of 25 students will typically be funded from multiple sources and all courses are delivered to the same professional standard, free from the influence of any particular company.
